Appointments: Baker Tilly boosts pension team; and more…

ACCOUNTANCY firm Baker Tilly has strengthened its pensions team with the appointment of Daniel May to its Manchester office.

Mr May has relocated from Baker Tilly’s Birmingham office and specialises in pensions work as well as corporate audit.

In his new role, he will work closely with Baker Tilly’s North West head of pensions, Mike Gregg.

In the past month, Baker Tilly has received several pension awards including Accountant of the Year and Assessment Provider of the Year at the annual Professional Pensions Awards.

In addition, the team also picked up the Pensions Accountant of the Year and Covenant Review Provider of the Year at the Pension and Investment Provider Awards (PIPA).

Mike Gregg, Baker Tilly’s North West Head of Pensions,said: “These awards are a wonderful acknowledgement and recognition of our work as committed and hard-working advisors who want to do as much as possible for pension scheme trustees.”

INSOLVENCY firm Refresh Recovery has boosted its team with a series of appointments.

John Crowder has been appointed development manager, whilst Christopher Adams, Jonathan Marquiss, Jonathan McKeown and Jonathon Waller have joined the business development team.

John Waller, group strategic director, said:”Their role will be to help us to generate business, implement and drive our marketing activity and develop relationships in the local business community. This is invaluable as we continue to grow.”
