Grosvenor sponsors Liverpool Embassy

GROSVENOR Liverpool Fund, owner of the £600m Liverpool ONE shopping complex, has announced that it is sponsoring the Liverpool Embassy building in London via a £20,000 Ambassador package.

The Embassy, which was opened at the end of January and is based at New Broad Street in the City, has been set up to show off key development sites and projects in Liverpool as well as providing a presence for Liverpool firns in the capital.

Grosvenor recently refinancied its £385m Liverpool fund and said Liverpool ONE is trading successfully. It is currently 98 per cent let and attracts 24.6m visitors per year.
Sarah-Jane Curtis, fund manager of Grosvenor’s Liverpool Fund, said: “We are delighted to be working with Liverpool City Council and other private sector partners to raise the profile of Liverpool as a city to work, visit and in which to invest. The Embassy is a unique way in which to achieve these objectives.”

Cllr Joe Anderson, leader of Liverpool City Council, said: “Grosvenor’s support of the Embassy is a real coup for the project and we’re extremely pleased to have attracted an organisation with such significant interests in the city.

“Liverpool’s Embassy has got off to a flying start and is already generating a huge amount of interest.”
