Spice supplier EHL on growth trail
FOOD supplier EHL Ingredients is gearing up for growth after moving to new base and making a key appointment.
The family-owned company has moved from Ardwick, Manchester, to the Broadstone Industrial Estate in Stockport, to a 20,000sq ft warehouse with offices – twice the size of its previous home.
The move should help the company, founded 16 years ago by Emma Haq, to grow
turnover from £3.5m to around £4.2m.
EHL has also hired a new sales manager, Christine Peers, who has become the company’s 25th employee.
Emma Haq said: “It’s an exciting time for all at EHL Ingredients, with the business
going from strength to strength. Our expansion and the growth of our product portfolio require additional staff, making the move into larger premises essential.
“We are delighted with the new location, which is perfect for our needs now and will allow us to grow the business even further in the coming years. It will allow us to improve the daily efficiency of the whole team, bringing key benefits to our customers.
“The developments will help to drive the company forwards as we continue to expand EHL Ingredients and become a major player on the North West business scene and within the UK food industry.”
EHL, which supplies herbs and spices to food manufacturers, has also recently been awarded an A class BRC (British Retail Consortium) accreditation, giving new and prospective customers a guarantee of high standards.
