Pennine Telecom buys PAS
PENNINE Telecom, the Bury-based telecoms company, has bought Burnley telephone systems business PAS Partnership for an undisclosed sum.
The deal sees PAS Partnership’s founder and managing director Stephen Dodgson joining Pennine where his responsibilities will include the integration and management of his company’s former corporate client base of more than 50 companies concentrated along the M65 corridor.
Mr Dodgson said: “I’m immensely proud of what PAS Partnership achieved but it had become increasingly clear that my customers could benefit from the resources and support that a larger, like-minded business can provide. Telecommunications is very fast-paced and complex industry and Pennine has a great depth and breadth of resource and expertise to offer PAS clients.”
Nigel Beaumont, Pennine Telecom’s finance director, said: “PAS Partnership shares our service values and enjoys an exceptional reputation, with a client base to match. Through this acquisition we can add greater value to PAS customers by offering them access to a wider range of specialist products and services, such as low cost lines and calls, wi-fi networks, two-way radios, mobile fleets and leased line packages for multi-site communications. We can also offer much greater access to technical resources.”
Pennine Telecom has a £6m turnover and employs around 60 staff.
