Appointments: Massey joins Zeus; Sales manager at Arley

MANCHESTER-based Zeus Private Equity has appointed Johnathan Massey as business development director.

Mr Massey will rejoin partners and former Aberdeen Murray Johnstone colleagues Gary Tipper, Ed Fazakerley and Tony Dickin on July 1.

He brings with him ten years experience in private equity and most recently held a position at Leeds-based Spirit Capital Partners.

He worked with the ZPE team in 2003 while at Aberdeen Murray Johnstone, where he was head of deal origination. Prior to that he was at Armstrong Craven, where he provided a number of private equity houses with research, recruitment and management due diligence services.

In his new role Mr Massey will spend his time working at the firm’s Manchester, London and Bristol offices. He will work primarily with ZPE’s investors and the wider business community to originate and assess investment opportunities.

WARRINGTON-based housebuilder Arley Homes has appointed Jim Bowers as sales manager. Jim Bowers, Arley

Mr Bowers, 62, has more than 20 years experience in the industry and joins from Morris Homes, where he was regional sales manager for four years.

Before that he worked for David McLean Homes and spent 13 years at Bellway Homes where he held the position of sales manager.

In his new role, Mr Bowers will have responsibility for overseeing valuations and putting together deals to enable buyers to make the move.

John Cosgrave, managing director of Arley Homes, said: “Jim has extensive experience and an excellent track record in property sales, especially with part-exchange.”
