MANCHESTER’S Crowne Plaza Hotel has taken on  digital agency Rippleffect to improve its  email marketing.

Rippleffect has developed a new email marketing system so the hotel can be more targeted with its promotions.

The new system collates information gathered from those who have registered interest on the Crowne Plaza’s website and organises individuals into news groups with specific criteria.

Bob Fairweather, general manager at Crowne Plaza Manchester, said: “The new marketing system makes communication with our customers more efficient and effective.

“For instance, people who use the hotel during the week will only be contacted with weekday offers and likewise for those who visit at the weekend.

“It has allowed us to adopt a more targeted approach that ensures our customers receive live and relevant information to meet their needs and wants.”

Ian Maguire, business development manager at Rippleffect, said: “Email marketing can be a sensitive issue for businesses who don’t want to flood the inboxes of their customers but at the same time need to maintain communication with them.

“The new marketing system ensures that all Crowne Plaza Manchester customers will only be targeted with relevant material which is based on historical data they have supplied.”
