Lexington launches in Manchester

PUBLIC affairs communications company Lexington Communications has chosen Manchester as the base for its first office outside London.
Sister company Lexington North, based near St Peters Square in Manchester, is headed up by Paul Boyfield, who was previously director of the northern office for rival firm PPS.
Lexington, which works on behalf of property and regeneration clients to engage with local government, and raise the profile of development schemes in the local community, employs 30 staff in its London office and has two full-time staff based in Manchester.
Mr Boyfield, managing director of Lexington North, told TheBusinessDesk that the company had chosen Manchester as the first location for expansion outside London because there was significant interest from existing clients that also had projects and developments in the north.
Mr Boyfield added that he expects to build on this client base and plans to have taken on another three full-time staff by this time next year.
He said: “The response from the property world thus far has been very encouraging. We have a number of active projects and a healthy pipeline of new business for the coming months.”
Lexington North’s launch party takes place tonight at the Great John Street Hotel in Manchester.
