Law firm Stowe’s double celebration

SPECIALIST legal firm Stowe Family Law celebrated the first birthday of its North West office with a gathering of key contacts, and the promotion of Robin Charrôt to the partnership.

Mr Charrôt, who joined Stowe from Channel Islands firm Carey Olsen last year, and was the first member of staff in the Altrincham office, will also lead the NW activity.

Senior partner Marilyn Stowe, one of the country’s leading divorce lawyers, told TheBusinessDesk she has been “surprised and delighted” by the success of the NW base – her first step outside her home county of Yorkshire.

“We started with just one person and now we’re at five fee earners here, which is just great.

“We have grown really fast, which given the fact that we’re in a recession has really surprised me, because you would normally expect people to stay together rather than break up at times like this.

“The reach of the office has been far more than just Greater Manchester – clients have come to us from across the whole North West, which has been really pleasing.”

Mr Charrôt, who worked for Manchester firm Pannone before his move to Jersey, said “I am really thrilled to become a partner. We have an excellent team here, but we’ve grown so quickly we may have to look for new premises sooner rather than later.”

The birthday party was attended by the Lord Mayor of Trafford, legal and professional contacts and BBC Radio Manchester’s Becky Want.
