Wood climbs to tax leadership role

ERNST & Young partner, Tracy Wood, has been selected to be part of the firm’s tax leadership team for the UK & Ireland from her base in Manchester.

The new role entitled ‘people partner’ will focus on the development of people within the firms UK & Ireland tax practice, helping them to achieve their potential, from graduate through to partner level.

Ms Wood, 28, was made Ernst & Young’s youngest ever partner in 2005.

In 2006 she was appointed head of tax for the North practice, with responsibility for more than 160 people across the firm’s Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Hull and Belfast offices.

Tracy Wood, said: “The ability to drive others to succeed and fulfil their potential is incredibly rewarding. I am looking forward to focusing on the ‘people strategy’ of our tax practice across the UK & Ireland.”

Manchester partner Robert Crooks, will take on the role of head of tax for the North. He has spent 12 years with the firm and has led the indirect tax teams across the North and Scotland during his career.
