MBO at Media Sales Network

A MANAGEMENT team at Manchester-based advertising sales firm Media Sales Network has bought the business.

Managing director Angela Wilkinson, former financial controller Rachael Andrew and former non-executive director David Moran have acquired the firm from Unique Communications Group.

MSN is used by media companies to sell advertising space in magazines, newspapers, online and on the radio. Clients include Bauer Media, Time Out and Tesco Media.

It was established by Robert Johnstone in 1982 and acquired by Unique in 2001.

Ms Wilkinson said: “During then and now we have seen growth along with some challenges to the business, particularly the recent squeeze on advertising revenues. We have remained commercially successful and now we are independent again it is time to raise our profile.”
