Bglobal steps up meter rollout

LANCASHIRE “smart metering” company Bglobal has reached an agreement with npower to accelerate the introduction of smart meters for its business customers.

Bglobal has already installed several thousand smart meters for npower’s large corporate energy customers and the energy giant now plans to step up the rate of roll out

Dave Ford, head of metering development at npower, added: “With energy management increasingly on everyone’s agenda, getting a greater understanding of consumption and visibility of its use is vital to effectively manage costs.

“Working closely with Bglobal has enabled npower to implement a range of innovative and cost effective new services for our customers and now we now want to bring these to the wider business community.”

Chief executive Tony Barnes said: “Npower has ambitious plans for the business sector and Bglobal is delighted to be the power behind their smart metering programme as it expands.”
