A CHESHIRE entrepreneur has headed east to share her artistic vision on the international stage.

Nellie Maan, whose company Adrenaline Brush uses abstract art to help companies with staff development, visited China to test the market there for her innovative approach to training as well as hunt for a manufacturer for her second business – interactive board games.

Nellie has developed three games that require strategy and tactics rather than depending on the luck of the dice.

She says: “I really enjoyed delivering the training in a new environment, and the trip was a fabulous opportunity to live and breathe a rapidly changing culture.

“Regarding the board games, manufacturing in China would greatly reduce the company’s overall costs and in turn make it more competitive against the giants of the board game industry. However, there would need to be some considerable investment in setting up the partnerships and nurturing these to success.”

The trip was partly funded by UK Trade & Investment, and is the most recent of Nellie’s ventures to be assisted by UKTI.  The businesswoman moved to Chester in 2006 and soon afterwards signed up for Passport to Export, UKTI’s flagship programme for new and inexperienced exporters.

Since then she has achieved export sales to Germany for her board games and is continuing to explore the international market.
