Virgin to create 100 Manchester jobs with new Vegas route

VIRGIN Atlantic is creating 100 new jobs at Manchester airport after announcing a new route between Manchester and Las Vegas.

The airline is expanding its network with the introduction of 10 new A330-300 aircraft. Most of these will fly new routes from its Gatwick base, but the first of the new planes will be used on its existing Manchester-Orlando route next month. Another will be used on the new Las Vegas route. The company is creating 450 new jobs in total – 5o of which will be new pilot posts.

Corneel Koster, director of operations, safety and security for Virgin Atlantic, said: “We have enjoyed a good year of recovery and can now look forward to expanding our network and welcoming a new fleet of aircraft.

“With the increases in flight rotations from our London airports and the new Las Vegas flight from Manchester, we will be creating jobs in both of these areas.”
