New £40m conference centre unveiled for Liverpool

LIVERPOOL City Council has outlined plans for a new exhibition and events complex next to the Arena and Convention Centre on the Mersey.
The council said the 80,000 sq ft facility and its events programme will support 1,300 jobs in the wider economy and contribute around £40m a year to the city. Some 150 people will be employed during the construction phase.
