Appointments: Two new partners at Ernst & Young; company secretary at Speedy Hire

ACCOUNTANTS Ernst & Young has appointed two partners at its Manchester office.
Richard Harding has been promoted to partner in the transaction support team while Gary Davison becomes a capital markets advisory partner.
Gary, 40, joined Ernst & Young as a director in 2007 and was previously a director with private equity firm Endless in the city. With 22 years of corporate banking experience, Gary was a founding director of the Bank of Ireland’s asset-based lending business Enterprise Finance Europe, and was also a director of another of its subsidiaries, Burdale Financial.
Richard, 36, joined from KPMG in 1999 and has since worked on a number of major deals, including Styles & Wood, Stobart Group, LDC, NES, Molton Brown, and Saga.
Senior partner Simon Allport said: “Ernst & Young is investing in its North West practice, where we see strong opportunity for growth. Gary and Richard’s appointment are part of those plans, boosting our standing in the corporate finance market.”

TOOL hire group Speedy Hire has appointed Suzana Koncarevic as group company secretary.
She replaces Patrick Rawnsley who has been appointed as head of branded and advisory services at the Newton-le-Willows group.
