Contracts worth £6.7m at new museum

MERSEYSIDE museum chiefs have put out a series of contracts for the fit-out work at the new Museum of Liverpool Life.
The £72m museum, which is being constructed at the Pier Head, will feature the city’s history and showcase its contribution to the world.
It is due to open next year and the work has now been advertised for 14 contracts with a total value of £6.7m.
The work ranges from the provision of audio visual equipment to props and dressings to models and furniture.
National Museums Liverpool, the body handling the new project, said it was, “seeking expressions of interest from experienced museum fit out contractors”. The deadline for expressions of interest is August 21.
