GT wins social housing hat-trick

BUSINESS adviser Grant Thornton has made further strides in the North West social housing market with three client wins.

GT’s 25-strong social housinfg team will provide tax advice to the Tameside-based New Charter Housing Trust. New Charter has aturnover of nearly £90m and has a stock of 18,700 homes and employs 800 people.

The firm  has also been appointed as auditor and tax adviser to Adactus Housing Group, which owns and manages 13,500 homes across 25 North West local authority areas and has an annual turnover in excess of £40m.   The group’s main offices are in Chorley, Leigh and Manchester.

The team has also been appointed to provide audit services under a framework agreement to three North West Arms-Length Management Organisations – which run councils houses for local authorities.
