IS Pharma on track for growth

THE boss of pharmaceutical company IS Pharma will today tell shareholders that its strong portfolio of late-stage drugs and acquisition strategy place the group in an excellent position for further growth.

Geoff McMillan, non executive chairman of the Chester-based group said 2009 has been the most successful year in the company’s history. 

The group has continued to grow revenue and profits from it key brands which include Variquel™ Aloxi® and Cryogesic®,  both in the UK and international markets, and trading in the first quarter has been strong.

Mr McMillan added: “Our strategy continues to be to generate strong earnings growth from our portfolio of late-stage and international pharmaceuticals and to pursue the acquisition of new products and corporate opportunities.

“Implementation of this strategy is underpinned by the company’s strong balance sheet, resulting in IS Pharma being well-positioned for growth. We are confident about the future and look forward to reporting further progress at the time of our interim results in early December.”
