LT Print buys digital press

WIRRAL-based printing firm LT Print Group has invested £120,000 in a new digital press which the firm said will revolutionise its offer.

The company, which has a turnover of £2.7m and employs staff at offices in Wallasey and Birkenhead, has bought a state-of-the-art Xerox 7002 digital press, one of the most advanced in the UK, to replace existing equipment.

Managing director Bob McWilliams said the new press would lead to a sea change both in productivity and the quality available to customers.

“Digital is the future and a great avenue for growth – the Xerox 7002 produces consistently brilliant output and high quality images,” he said. “It will streamline the business and expand the print applications we can offer.

He said that the new printer can turn out pages at a speed of 70 pages per minute.

“£120,000 is a lot of money to invest, but despite the economic conditions we are maintaining growth and this is a further example of our commitment to offer our clients the best possible services.”

The company works with many public sector clients including various NHS trusts as well as a number of Merseyside’s schools and universities. It has also developed a niche printing for the hospitality sector, and counts London hotels Claridge’s, the Hyatt Regency and the Mandarin Oriental among its clients.
