PR firm Citypress launches in Midlands

INDEPENDENT North West PR agency Citypress is opening an office in the Midlands.

The Manchester firm, which is celebrating ist 50th anniverary this year, has lured Katie Dale from Golley Slater to head its new office in Birmingham.

Joining her is Holly Jones, formerly an account manager with Smarts in Birmingham where she managed a portfolio of national consumer brands, including Bridgestone, Office Depot and Westfield shopping centres.

Citypress, said its expansion was driven by two reasons – client demand and the opportunity to “create a new growth centre”.

Companies already advised by Citypress include the Birmingham based mutual Wesleyan and the Midlands operation of private equity firm LDC. 

Other clients in the Citypress portfolio include food and drink group Princes, Brother, Speedy Hire, Morris Homes and Lloyds Banking Group.

Katie Dale, head of Midlands at Citypress, said: “Launching a permanent base in Birmingham will help us better service existing client programmes where the Midlands is a key market, while creating new opportunities to support regionally based brands and businesses looking for national support.
