Unicom dials up more profits

A NORTH West telecoms provider said it is defying market trends by increasing its profits and taking on more staff.

According to Unicom profits will top £12m and turnover £48m this year. The Manchester business employs 500 staff at 10 offices and is planning to take on a further 200.

“We are continuing our recruitment drive and strong company growth. During the economic downturn, we believe it is more important than ever to support and understand our customers’ needs.”
