The money was raised through a range of activities from cake baking to fell walking.

The proceeds raised will go towards the Alzheimer’s Society’s campaign for improved health and social care for those who have Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

Mark Fitzgibbon, national CSR partner at Cobbetts, commented: “The Alzheimer’s Society plays an integral role in helping those that are affected by dementia and related conditions, and raising awareness about dementia and its treatment.”

Cobbetts’ Charity of the Year for 2009-2010 has been confirmed as the British Heart Foundation.
