Sales boom for IT network firm

IT network specialist NWIX has declared a hike in first quarter revenues.

The Macclesfield-based company, led by sector veterans Nick Whittaker and John Ridd, said contracted revenues had risen by 40% in the first quarter of its latest financial year.

This amounted to almost £4.4m, the company said.

NWIX, is now investing in and expanding its optical network. Sales and support staff numbers have been also been increased  to cope with increasing demand, taking the workforce to 25.

Chief executive John  Ridd said “The first financial quarter has been incredibly positive given the current economic environment – both our engineering and customer facing teams have been expanded with the geographical and technical expansion of the network around the UK.

“Networking infrastructure is key to regional economic development – in the past people built roads or railways to develop a region, now communication infrastructure is the key thing and the NWIX network is providing cutting edge networking technology for businesses all around the UK.”
