San Rocco picks up Bury restaurant

MANCHESTER-based Italian restaurant chain San Rocco Group has acquired the former Toto Ristorante in Bury for £450,000.
The sale of the restaurant in Walshaw Cross was achieved by the Manchester office of property consultants Sanderson Weatherall.
San Rocco Group, which bought the property out of administration, will add the eaterie to its chain of six Italian restaurants.
John Goodchild, chartered surveyor at Sanderson Weatherall Manchester, said: “This sector suffered greatly during the recession with a number of high profile casualties. However, we have seen a marked improvement in demand for restaurant premises over the past six months as established operators seek strategic opportunities to expand their portfolios.”
