Cartel sets up on the high street

FINANCIAL claims company Cartel Client Review sees the economic downturn as the perfect time to develop a high street presence.

The £10m turnover company, which is headquartered in Manchester, helps consumers dispute unenforceable credit agreements and bring financial claims against lenders for a variety of products, such as payment protection insurance and bank charges.

The company already has more than 3,500 representatives across the country and has just opened its third client review centre in Leicester. Its other two shop fronts are in Bristol and Kirkcaldy in Scotland.

Managing director Carl Wright thinks there is scope for the company to grow further by developing a physical presence on the high street and there are plans in the pipeline to open more shop fronts.

He chose Leicester for his third location because it is an area of the country where people are burdened with very high levels of personal debt.

Mr Wright said: “In these difficult economic times, Cartel’s ability to help consumers seek redress in relation to unenforceable credit agreements is having a positive impact on consumer’s personal finances.

“As consumers are generally unaware of what they are able to claim for, the opening of this client review centre is a massive step towards greater public awareness.”
