Workforce hit by print firm insolvency

NEARLY 30 jobs have been lost after a £10m turnover Warrington printing company called in administrators.

Philip Myers Press, which trades as PMP Complete Solutions, is based in Birchwood.

Three partners, Graham Wild, Simon Wilson and Stuart McKellar, from corporate recovery firm Zolfo Cooper, were appointed administrators to the business today.

In a statement  the firm said the insolvency had been caused by a combination of high overhead costs and depressed trading conditions “exhausting” the business’s cashflow.

Some 28 of the company’s workforce of 80 have been made redundant.

Zolfo Cooper partner Graham Wild said: “We believe the best result for creditors will be achieved with a sale of the business as a going concern, and we’re hopeful of securing a buyer.

“PMP Complete Solutions is an established brand in the area, having provided high quality printing and marketing services to numerous clients over the past 30 years.”
