Hat-trick of deals for Sceptre

SCEPTRE Leisure, the AIM-listed gaming group, has struck three new deals worth £1.5m to supply its machines to pubs and hotels.

It has agreed a two-year deal with Manchester brewer Joseph Holt to supply its 130 managed and tenanted pubs.

De Vere Hotels has extended its two-year agreement for a further 12 months and the Northampton-based McManus Pub Company has agreed a two-year contract for its 13 sites.

The Preston-based Sceptre supplies around 21,000 fruit machines and other gaming products to the leisure sector. It has sales of around £40m.

Chief executive Ken Turner said: “These new deals demonstrate our continued progress towards becoming the number one machine operator in the UK pub market.  Sceptre will continue to follow its strategy of growth both through organic contract gains, and also through selected strategic acquisitions.

“With the trend towards consolidation gathering pace, I believe that Sceptre remains well-placed to take advantage of new opportunities as they arise.”
