Armstrong Watson expands in Carlisle

ACCOUNTANCY firm Armstrong Watson has expanded its presence in Carlisle by acquiring a rival in the town.

It has bought O’Reilly Chartered Accountants and moved the 13 staff to its own office in Montgomery Way.

Armstrong Watson, which has its headquarters in Carlisle, now has 13 offices and 26 partners across the North of England and south west Scotland.

The Montgomery Way office – one of three in Carlisle – is headed by Louise Utting, who has been a partner for nine years.

She said: “O’Reilly is an incredibly well respected firm locally and the combination of our skills will continue to strengthen Armstrong Watson’s position in Carlisle and north Cumbria. The amalgamation of the two offices will see a greater potential to deliver our services to both current and future clients.
