SKV recognised for Blackpool campaign

MANCHESTER public relations firm SKV Communications has been recognised for its work to promote Blackpool as a tourist destination.
The company picked up the Judge’s Choice and two gold awards at the Fresh Media Awards in Manchester.
SKV won gold awards for the best consumer campaign and best public sector campaign. The awards were for the short film, J’aime La Tour, a comic take on the appeal of Blackpool.
Director Daniel Kennedy said: “There was stiff competition from some of the most respected agencies working in the region so to win double gold and the Judges Choice award was a huge achievement. We make virals, corporate DVDs and video news releases and to win an award for what was a great project to work on was fantastic.”
The second part of the Blackpool film – which was picked up by news organisations internationally – will launch in the next few weeks.
