Appointments: Lovell joins DTE; Woods Squared recruits & more

ACCOUNTANCY firm DTE Group, has appointed George Lovell as a tax partner to grow its tax offering to the region’s mid-sized companies.  
 
Lovell spent 11 years with KPMG in Leeds and Manchester where he specialised in providing tax advice on corporate acquisitions, disposals and private equity transactions. 

After KPMG he spent two years with RSM Bentley Jennison as tax partner, where he focused on advising owner managed businesses and their owners on tax affairs.  
 
DTE senior partner  Richard Taylor said:”We are delighted that George has joined us and I am confident that his exceptional calibre and experience of providing innovative tax advice will further develop our offering to the region’s mid-market and growing businesses.”

MERSEYSIDE accountants Woods Squared has appointed Shelley Hughes as client manager.

The Birkenhead-based business growth specialists provide expert financial advice and support to small firms and entrepreneurs across Merseyside and Cheshire.
 
Shelley,, 27, joins the Hamilton Square based practice having 10 year’s experience in the sector. She gained her Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification last year.
