Hotel Indigo to open next week

THE new £15m Hotel Indigo in Liverpool is set to open its doors in Liverpool’s commercial district on Monday, June 6.

The 151-bedroom boutique hotel, which also includes a Marco Pierre White steakhouse Bar and Grill, is based on Chapel Street.

It is owned and operated by Liverpool-based Sanguine Hospitality and is one of the first Hotel Indigo franchises – the brand is owned by Intercontinentla Hotels Group –  to open in the UK.

Sanguine Hospitality said that it has already secured forward orders of £500,000 for both the restaurants and the hotel, which is offerin an opening rate of £89 per night.

General manager, David Hughes, said: “The design of Hotel Indigo Liverpool is locally inspired which will bring a vibrant feel to the heart of the commercial district and to the city.  There is already a buzz in the area thanks to its colourful façade, which is also reflected in the bright interior.

“For tourists, it draws on Liverpool’s rich heritage such as cotton trading, to develop interesting themes and to offer guests something much more than simply a place to sleep.
