Employers urged to seek recognition
EMPLOYERS are being encouraged to enter a competition that recognises the best places to work.

EMPLOYERS are being encouraged to enter a competition that recognises the best places to work.

The Great Place to Work Institute, a research and management consultancy, is hosting a seminar in Manchester on October 29 to promote the contest which will be held in May.

Several of last year’s top 50 employers were based in the North West, including Manchester-based Kelloggs and Beaverbrooks the Jewellers, based in Lytham St Annes.

Organiser Yonel Osman said: “There are many other great workplaces so we are this year encouraging more of them to take part in the programme so they can get the same level of recognition and resulting benefits.”

The free seminar will be held at Urbis from 4-6.30pm and feature a presentation by Liz Ellis of Danone Ltd, overall winner of the Best Workplace Award in 2009.
