3 Hardman Street scoops property award
MANCHESTER’S 3 Hardman Street development in Spinningfields has been given the accolade of ‘best development outside Central London’ at industry awards last night.
The 37,000 sq m building, designed by Sheppard Robson for Allied London is the largest ever speculatively built office in the regions.
At the Office Development Awards judges commented on the development’s design and quality, which includes sustainable technology and has a ‘BREEAM Excellent’ rating.
Jamie Wood, Sheppard Robson’s project manager for 3 Hardman Street, said: “Designing such a large speculatively developed office required three priorities – optimum flexibility, sustainable technology and a building specification of the highest prestige.
“Around 80% of the floor space was leased before the building’s completion which proved a satisfying measure of the project’s success.”
This is the fifth award 3 Hardman Street has won this year and comes just one month after it won the Regional BCO Award for Best Commercial Workplace.
