Claremont’s double boost
CLAREMONT, Group Interiors, the Warrington design and fit-out contractor, has completed two projects this month and added to its green credentials.
In Yorkshire it helped Sheffield Hallam University add a further building to its city campus. The university bought the 38,000sq ft ‘Oneleven’ building in the city centre’s Arundel Gate in order to relocate its administration services.
In the Midlands, Claremont refurbished a Grade II listed building on Warwick’s main throughfare, Jury Street, for Apteco, a software development company.
The firm provided an internal and external refurbishment in line with new building regulation requirements and restored some of the key features of the historic building.
In a further boost Claremont has gained an eco-friendly status from Planet Positive because of its committment to reducing its carbon footprint.
Working in partnership with dcarbon8, a carbon management consultancy, the company measured its carbon footprint and has pledged to reduce emissions associated with its business operations.
It has covered 110% of its remaining carbon footprint by investing in Planet Positive accredited carbon-reducing projects.
