In Brief: Staying Cool triumphs; Zeus pockets new client & more

NORTH West serviced apartment operator Staying Cool has won two awards for its Birmingham property.

The Manchester company, which teamed up with fellow-Manchester-based developmer Urban Splash for he project at the Rotunda, won the serviced apartment and self-catering categories at the Heart of England tourism awards,

Paul Taylor, who founded Staying Cool in 2005 with Tracey Stephenson said: “We used all the experience we have gained in Manchester over the past three and a half years to create the very best place to stay in Birmingham.”

As well as Manchester and Birmingham Staying Cool has a site in Barcelona and most recently in Devon.

CHESHIRE-based  Zeus PR has been awarded the retained PR brief for designer menswear chain Pockets.
 
Congleton-based Zeus, which was appointed after a three-way pitch, has been tasked with a dual brief of raising national consumer awareness of the Pockets brand and heightening its profile in its store catchments.
 
Pockets opened its first store 13 years ago in Shrewsbury, and is now one of the largest and well known independent luxury retail groups in the Midlands.

CHEADLE-based brick manufacturer, Wienerberger, has been recognised for the best Private Housing Development at the annual Brick Development Association (BDA) Awards.

The award was received b for the Highcross development in Leicester – a mixed use scheme which included a 120-apartment residential block.

Mark Morris, sales and marketing director at Wienerberger, added: “The Highcross scheme is a stunning development which seamlessly combines contemporary city centre living with bustling urban retail space.”
