Nolan Redshaw asked to sell Rossendale United

NORTH West surveyors Nolan Redshaw have been appointed to sell non-league football club Rossendale United.

The sale process will be led by Paul Nolan, who is from Lancashire and supported Rossendale United as a boy.

Club owner Andrew Connolly has decided to look for new investors in the UniBond League Division One North club, along with its ground and surrounding facilities.

Mr Connolly, who has owned the club for a decade, said:“I have put a lot of time and hard work in to the club and, after careful consideration, I have now decided it is in the best interest, of both myself and RUFC, to put the club up for sale.

“I feel I have taken the club as far as I can and, now that it is clear of any debt, it will benefit from a fresh outlook.”

Paul Nolan commented:  “Rossendale United is a club with a long history, so this is an interesting instruction for Nolan Redshaw, particularly as I used to follow the team as a child.

“Andrew saved the club from extinction some years ago and is now seeking a new investor to take the club forward.  The club facilities and site have excellent potential”.

Bury-based Nolan Redshaw has advised Manchester United and Burnley FC on professional and development issues in the last 18 months.
