Sellick closes two NW offices

RECRUITMENT firm Sellick Partnership says it cannot rule out redundancies after closing two North West offices.

The Manchester-based company has axed its locations in Chester and Preston, and will serve the areas from its head office on Queen Street.

Sellick blamed the move on the recession and said it would try and deploy the staff affected by the closures to other areas of the business. The firm specialises in the legal and financial recruitment sector.

Founder and managing director Jo Sellick said: “The continued impact of the recession has placed increased pressure on these offices, which we cannot sustain.

“At this stage we need to secure our long-term future and to remain in the best possible shape to grow our business moving forward, we must therefore react to current market conditions.

“These office closures could result in some possible redundancies, but it is hoped that the employees involved will be deployed to other areas of the group.”
Sellick employs 45 people at its six remaining offices.
