Building Briefs: NoChintz on the move; Boost for Ocon
MANCHESTER-based Interior design firm NoChintz has moved offices and opened a 2,500 sq ft warehouse.
The expanding firm – which has grown from four to eight people this year has moved from Carver’s Warehouse on Dale Street to nearby 12 Hilton Street and has taken warehouse space at Redbank Court in the city’s Green Quarter.
Director Natalie Gray said: “It’s a really exciting time for NoChintz as we expand into our new offices and warehouse space. We have a lot of plans for 2010 especially developing our services for commercial office and retail fit outs.”

OCON Construction has won a contract to build a nine-bedroom care home in Eccles, Greater Manchester.
Designed by Sale-based architects, Howard & Seddon, the three-storey building is being developed by Bury-based property group Harrington House Estates.
It has been sold off-plan to a care service charity.
Simon Green, project manager for Ocon: “This is a truly Manchester-centric project with the client, the architect, the end user and the contractor all based within a few miles of one another.” Work on the project has commenced with completion scheduled for April 2010.
Salford-based Ocon is part of the Opal Property Group.
