Re Legal on growth path after record year

LEGAL recruitment specialist Re Legal is eyeing further growth on both sides of the Pennines after a record year.

The Manchester company, led by former Cobbetts lawyer Rod Ellis, recently launched in Leeds.

Despite the gloom surrounding some sectors of the law and some large corporate firms, Re Legal saw tunover and profits grow 25% this year.

Mr Ellis said the strong performance was  down to long-standing relationships in both the North West and Yorkshire and continued commitment to an “ethical model” –  which does not involve headhunting.

He said: “Our clients really appreciate that we don’t try and prize away their lawyers when they as firms are potentially vulnerable.

Mr Ellis said trading conditions remained “quite difficult”, but he still expects to add to his team in both Manchester and Leeds.

“We believe that we can offer experienced and trainee consultants something that other recruiters can’t – that is, a genuine incentive to stay with the business long term and first class training, and good quality of life.”
