Perspective passes £2bn milestone

ACQUISITIVE IFA group Perspective Financial Group said today it now has more than £2bn in funds under management.

The Wilmslow company, launched just over three years ago, said its FUM today of £2.1bn was 30% of the total at the end of December 2010.

Growth, it said, had been driven by three acquisitions this year – the most recent being the purchase of Oxfordshire firm McGrath Rathbone.

Perspective which has 200 staff nationwide and 23 offices said it hoped to make “several further acquisitions before the end of the year”.

It said it would be reporting ‘strong’ financial figures for the 2010 this month.

Managing director Damian Keeling, said: ““Breaking through the £2 billion funds under management mark is another major milestone for Perspective and to have achieved this in a relatively short space of time is a considerable achievement for us.
“When we established the business back in 2008 we had some significant ambitions for Perspective and it is pleasing to have reached £2 billion of FUM in just over three years.

“We are already one of the largest and most profitable IFA Groups in the country, and we plan to put further significant resources into our fund management strategy in order to improve the Group’s offering to its clients.”

He said the firm’s growth was not all about acquisitions and there had been good growth in client assets.
