NetPlay ends "milestone" contract after five months

NORTH West gaming company NetPlayTV has ended a trial with betting giant Stanley Bet International after just five months.

Under the terms of a two year contract, announced in July,  Stanley Bet was to have launched NetPlay’s live gambling products in 100 of its 1,400 outlets across Europe.

The deal was hailed at the time by Martin Higginson, NetPlay’s chief executive as “a significant milestone”.

In a brief statement NetPlayTV said: “Following a review of the pilot trial the company has decided to cease supplying Stanley Bet International with a live roulette feed to its overseas betting outlets.”

No further explanation was given, though the firm said it would continue to develop its supply of live feeds into fixed odds betting terminals through other distribution channels.
