Appointments: Double promotion at DBF; Photolink hires creative head & more

LAW firm Davis Blank Furniss has made two promotions at its head office in Manchester.

Employment law expert Anna Bunting been promoted from associate to partner. She has worked at DBF since 2001, having joined as a trainee.
 
She also has additional expertise in gaming, licensing and driving offences enabling her to provide a complementary service for her clients which operate in the often complex licensed trade and transport sectors.

The second promotion is Claire Smith (nee Reddington) who becomes an associate solicitor. Claire has been with the firm since 2004 and she has worked in the Employment and Litigation departments since 2006.

JULIE Mogan, one of the founding partners of Cheshire law firm  DTM Legal has been appointed as chairman of the Chester Business Club, the first woman to hold this position.

Chester Business Club was established in the 1980s and has 200 members. It holds networking events, guest speaker evenings and supports local charities.

Mogan said: “Chester is a great place to live and work and the Business Club wants to see the city at the forefront of the region’s economic recovery.”

MANCHESTER-based creative and photographic agency, Photolink Creative Group, has appointed Deborah Davies as its new head of creative talent.

She joins from Shop Direct Group where she was photographic services manager. 

She is in charge of bringing in new fashion and creative talent to the agency, including photographers, models, art directors, stylists, hair and make-up artists, and heads a team responsible for sourcing locations for clients’ photographic requirements.

She said: “I’ve spent my entire professional life buying in the very best of everything required for fashion photo shoots.

“I’ve been obsessed with fashion photography from a very early age, and still get a thrill from discovering new models and photographers, and from seeing a whole production come together.”

Photolink’s clients include hair salons chain Regis, retailer John Lewis, Argos and Homebase.

Bridge Insurance Brokers has appointed Nick Corbett as a Professional Indemnity executive.

Corbett, 49, joins MAnchester-based Bridge from Heath Lambert and has specialised in professional indemnity for more than 20 years.
