Free festival for creatives to launch Enterprise City UK

Central Village

A free festival to officially launch Enterprise City UK has been announced by its creator, property developer Allied London.

The Enterprise City UK Launch Festival – on Wednesday, April 26 from 1pm to 10pm at Old Granada Studios – is bringing together 12 creative industries and a host of inspiring speakers, entertainment and activities to celebrate the start of this global creative, business and hospitality ‘eco-system’ – the first of its kind in the country.

Based in the St John’s area of Manchester city centre, Enterprise City UK comprises seven distinctive buildings and complexes – Old Granada Studios, Manchester Goods Yard, South Village, Bonded Warehouse, St John’s Place Tower, Globe & Simpson and Campfield Market – all featuring a mixture of workspace, cafés, restaurants and retail.

Allied London chief executive Michael Ingall said: “Enterprise City UK will be a place of international standing and it is a unique proposition for Manchester and the UK.

“The launch festival in April is just the beginning of a year-round series of events and we are designing a programme of support for all businesses here, from ‘start-ups’ to ‘grown-ups’.

“What Enterprise City UK offers to our creative industries goes far beyond the physical building – we want businesses to really become part of the place and grow as it grows. This is what we mean by an entirely new concept of business hub, a real eco-system in which people and businesses can thrive and flourish.”

“Enterprise City UK will be a cluster for forward-thinking companies; it is designed to be a combination of workspace and act as a central village, designed for innovative creatives and enterprising companies who care about community as much as corporate.

“The Enterprise City UK Launch Festival has been designed to reflect the vision and values of Enterprise City UK, with its many different facets and functions all brought together under one roof, for one day, and we look forward to welcoming people from across the country and the world to this exciting event.”
