GB Group unveils new chief executive

Richard Law

Chester-based identity management specialist GB Group has unveiled Chris Clark as its new chief executive.

Clark takes over from Richard Law who is retiring after continuing the role while his replacement was sought.

Law has also ceased to be a director of listed GBG and its subsidiaries.

Meanwhile GBG also said group managing director Nick Brown has been appointed as an executive director to the board with immediate effect.

Brown joined GBG as managing director in 2006 and has been on the group’s executive team since joining the business.

David Rasche, chairman of GBG, said: “I’d like to thank Richard once again for his many years of service. In particular I would like to express my gratitude for his successful leadership since his retirement was announced, his help in the transition and his ongoing help in this regard.

“He leaves a tremendous legacy in GBG as a world leader in identity data intelligence together with a strong and accomplished team.

“I also welcome Chris to GBG. As previously reported, we consider that we have appointed an excellent new CEO in Chris who not only has significant experience but also expertise in growing and improving international technology based businesses.

“I know that he is very enthusiastic about the Group and our growth prospects. The Board and I very much look forward to working with Chris as he leads GBG in its ongoing strategic development.”
