Business gets on board with Lytham Festival

Excitement is growing for what organisers are calling the North West’s biggest live music festival after the event picked up a major retail sponsor.

Lancashire-based shopping outlet centre Fleetwood Freeport is the retail partner of this year’s week-long Lytham Festival which hopes to attract up to 100,000 people to the Fylde Coast from July 31 to August 6.

Amanda Daniels, centre manager for Fleetwood Freeport, said: “Lytham Festival really is unrivalled across the North West.

“Not only is it a brilliant event to attend, but it provides us with a fantastic opportunity to reach a huge number of potential shoppers with information about the great brands and prices available at the centre.”

This will be the third year the shopping centre has sponsored the festival, which has seen steady growth since its inception as Lytham Proms in 2010.

The 2017 festival will see seven nights of live music and entertainment taking place at venues throughout the town with the headline acts all performing in the Main Proms Arena on Lytham Green.

Lytham Festival is organised by event promoters Cuffe and Taylor who this year will present headline acts including Olly Murs, Haçienda Classical, 80s v 90s starring The Human League, Midge Ure, Dodgy and more, Madness and a celebration of musical theatre with West End Proms.

Plans are currently being finalised ready to announce further acts for venues throughout Lytham soon.

Cuffe and Taylor director Peter Taylor said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Fleetwood Freeport back as this year’s retail sponsor of Lytham Festival.

“It’s been great to work with their team for the last couple of years and we look forward to another successful year with them. The fact Fleetwood Freeport is returning again as sponsors shows a real commitment to Lytham Festival and it is particularly pleasing for us to have such a well-known and respected brand working alongside our team.”
