Triple towers Infinity project set to go before planners

Developer Elliot Group’s much-anticipated £250m ‘triple towers’ project on the northern edge of Liverpool’s business district goes before the city council’s planning committee next week, promising to change the city’s skyline forever.

The tallest of the three buildings will reach 436ft above sea level and will boast views to Snowdonia and the Lake District mountains – as well as offering cruise passengers a dramatic welcome as they approach the Pier Head.

The Falconer Chester Hall-designed scheme – branded Infinity – goes before a meeting of the city council’s planning committee on Tuesday (April 18).

Three towers, ranging in height from 27, 33 and 39 storeys, will be built on a site on the corner of Leeds Street and Pall Mall and the £250m development would be the largest single housing project in Liverpool.

It would provide 1,002 apartments, plus a triple-height luxury spa, gym and pool and more than 10,000 sq ft of commercial space if approved.

“We’ve spent months working closely with Liverpool council’s officers to craft a scheme that not only delivers in terms of regeneration, but will contribute dramatically to its changing skyline,” said developer Elliot Lawless.

“We’re hoping the committee can see the quality of what we’re bringing forward and will back our commitment to the city,” he added.

If permission is granted, work would start on site in the autumn, with completion in autumn 2019.
