Harbur Construction goes into administration

Social housing contractor Harbur Construction has gone into administration with 20 staff at its Manchester Business Park headquarters laid off.

Corporate recovery and insolvency specialist Leonard Curtis has been appointed to handle the administration of the £28m turnover firm, founded seven years ago.

Harbur has been building a £2.9m scheme in Back Church Street, Bolton and was also carrying out a £6m scheme for TAC Development in Liverpool.

It has also been carrying out a £4.3m scheme for developer First Step in Ancoats, Manchester.
