Floor coverings giant checks into Tower Business Park

Unit at Tower Business Park

Alden Green Developments – the Rossendale-based development and investment company – has let a 3,750sq ft unit at Tower Business Park near junction 4 of the M65 to MCD Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Headlam Group.

Headlam is involved with the marketing supply and distribution of a range of floor coverings and products to the UK, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

It owns 56 businesses across Europe and last year turned over £654m with a profit of £36.8m.

Michael Solomon from Alden Green group said: “We are delighted to welcome MCD Group as our first tenant and trade counter user’ and to have attracted such a major occupier to the first phase of this development.

“We have interest in the remaining units in this phase which vary from 3,750 – 10,000sq ft.

Paul Nolan of Nolan Redshaw who negotiated the transaction said: “This is a fantastic start for the development to have pre-let a unit to such a large company.   The quality of the estate is fantastic and we have interest in a number of other units’.

Nolan Redshaw acted as joint agents with Taylor Weaver.
