Knights 1759's Wilmslow team

Commercial law firm Knights 1759 has outlined plans to strengthen its North-West grow its 55-strong team to 150 within two years, after relocating to offices at Riverside Court in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

Knights has made the move from Hale in Greater Manchester in the same week as announcing a 64% increase in turnover from £20.5m to £33.5m in the last 12 months.

Chief executive David Beech said: “This is a strategic move which the board has focused on in order to accelerate growth in the North West.

“Wilmslow is the ideal location to facilitate quality professionals, who work in Manchester, to join our team culture and improve work-life balance with a reduced commute to work.

He added: “Wilmslow is an exciting opportunity for Knights thanks to improved travel routes to Manchester and London.

“Some 55 professionals will be based in the Wilmslow office from May and we are looking forward to welcoming additional talented professionals and specialist teams to Knights.”

Knights became the first UK commercial law firm to be granted an ABS licence and attract private equity investment. Its unique business model providing high quality services from regional centres has allowed it to grow rapidly to 500 staff operating from six regional offices.
