Vehicle scrapyard swallowed by bigger rival

Bury-based vehicle dismantler and salvager Star Breakers has been acquired by Amberdeal, trading as Autosave.

The deal, for an undisclosed sum, was brokered by law firm Clough & Willis, which acted for Star Breakers.
Autosave claims to be one of Greater Manchester’s leading vehicle dismantlers/recycling sites and is located on the Pimhole Business Park in Bury.

Kevin Barton, director of Star Breakers, said: “Star Breakers has been built up over many years and it is good to see it being transferred into such good hands to continue the business.”

Clough & Willis commercial solicitor Guy Lachlan of added: “As a well-known Bury business, its centrally-located facilities and reputation were important factors in achieving the sale and the ongoing goodwill of the business as a local service which is valued in the trade.”
